1985 Porsche 930 Turbo

The Porsche 930 Turbo, introduced in the mid-1970s, was initially developed to meet FIA Group 4 and Group 5 homologation requirements, with technology derived from the race-dominating Porsche 917/30 Can-Am car. The result was a road car that could hold its own against Ferrari and Lamborghini, and quickly became the crown jewel of the 911 lineup. By 1985, the 930 Turbo had evolved into a 3.3-liter, flat-six turbocharged powerhouse, capable of producing a thrilling 300 horsepower. Paired with Porsche’s famed four-speed manual transmission, it delivered blistering performance and demanded respect on the road.

Now offered for sale, Blue Chip is proud to present this 1985 Porsche 930 Turbo, finished in Slate Blue over a Black Leather interior. A European-spec example, this 930 was imported to the United States through the State of California in 1986. The paint is mostly original, with some paintwork evident on the hood, roof, and passenger rear fender. There are zero signs of an accident or body damage and all paintwork appears to be merely cosmetic. The brakes were replaced in 2017, just a few thousand miles ago, and a recent cold compression test reads 100 psi across all six cylinders.
