1994 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6

In 1990, as a successor to the wildly successful 930 Turbo, Porsche released the 964-generation 911 Turbo. To the dismay of many enthusiasts, however, Porsche engineers hadn’t had the time required before the car was launched to develop a turbocharged version of the 3.6 liter flat six from the 964 Carrera. The engine unveiled in the new turbocharged 911 was a version of the 3.3 liter flat six from the 930. With some minor revisions to reduce turbo lag and an output of 316 horsepower, the 964 Turbo was certainly no slouch, but Porsche fans expected more.

Then, on February 12th, 1993, Porsche released the highest-performance regular-production car ever to be offered for sale in America: the 964 911 Turbo 3.6. Featuring a K27 turbocharged version of the 3.6 liter M64 engine from the 964 Carrera, the new 911 Turbo 3.6 produced an astounding 355 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. 0 to 60 miles per hour could now be done in just four seconds flat, and after winding out third gear you’d see the quarter-mile fly by in 12.4 seconds. These incredible performance metrics, along with a limited production number of just 1,437 led the 964 Turbo 3.6 to become one of the most sought after Porsches of all time.

Specified in visually appealing ‘triple black’ over factory Speedline wheels, this example has been tastefully modified and now produces 585 wheel-horsepower on 91 octane fuel and is capable of producing 640 wheel-horsepower on race fuel. Inside the cockpit, aftermarket Recaro bucket seats are wrapped in Black leather and are complemented by red Sabelt 4-point racing harnesses. A half cage roll bar has been installed, while the factory rear seats and all four factory seat belts have been retained.

This particular example has had its engine fully rebuilt by renowned Porsche authority TurboKraft and has seen just 500 miles since the rebuild. A Paint Protection Film has also been applied and covers the entire front end of the car. With over $250,000.00 in modification and service records over the last seven years, this 964 Turbo 3.6 has been meticulously cared for and is ready for new ownership.
