The Details
This 1997 Porsche 911 993 has been remastered by Gunther Werks in Huntington Beach, California. 80% of the vehicle is now completely bespoke, while the remaining 20% has been replaced with brand new Porsche equipment. The exterior body panels along with many of the internals have been replaced with copious amounts of carbon fiber, and Gunther Werks has flawlessly woven carbon fiber into the chassis. The originally 3.6-liter flat-six was completely stripped down and rebuilt as a 4.0 liter by Rothsport Road and Race in Sherwood, Oregon, now producing over 400 horsepower and more than 300 pound-feet of torque. The Remastered engine features an extensive list of forged internals and race-spec equipment including a two-stage MoTec engine management system, individual throttle bodies, and custom intake design based on the intake plenum of a 996-series Porsche 911 GT3. The Getrag G50 six-speed has been extensively enhanced with stronger internals, a lightweight flywheel, and 997.2 GT3RS clutch. The engineering masterpiece presented for sale here is the one off "Carbon Noire Commission." It's exterior is finished in a blend of exposed carbon fiber and bespoke gold flake black metallic paint. Inside, cognac aeronautical leather is mixed with exposed carbon fiber throughout. Gunther Werks designed LED headlights and LED rear light bridge were fitted, and rear seats have also been deleted. The Carbon Noire commission has also received over $200,000 in upgrades since it's last sale, including new brakes, rear wing, and lightweight wheels. It now displays only 492 miles from new. One of just 25 examples built, this presents a unique opportunity to acquire one of the finest bespoke 993s in existence.
