The Details
This 2007 Porsche Cayman S has been modified for competitive racing, reportedly configured for the GTB1 class of PCA Club Racing. It is powered by a replacement 3.4-liter flat-six engine, installed in August 2024, paired with a six-speed manual transaxle featuring a CAE short shifter.
The exterior retains its factory Forest Green Metallic finish beneath a white and blue vinyl livery. Aerodynamic modifications include a rear wing, carbon fiber front splitter, ducktail rear spoiler, and rear quarter-window intake vents. Additional functional elements include tow hooks, an LED rain light, a low-profile antenna, and yellow-tinted headlights. The body shows wear from track use, and a replacement windshield was installed in 2021.
The chassis is equipped with black 18-inch Forgeline multi-spoke wheels fitted with Hoosier tires. The suspension system consists of a JRZ RS adjustable coilover setup and aftermarket inner tie rods. An electric power steering system has been installed, and the braking system has been upgraded with aftermarket components.
The interior has been stripped for weight reduction, leaving only a single Recaro racing seat with a Schroth Racing harness. Safety features include a full roll cage with door bars, a fire suppression system, and RaceQuip window netting. A CoolShirt system occupies the space of the removed passenger seat. Instrumentation includes a Racelogic OLED display, a GPS data logger with an integrated camera, and an AutoMeter oil temperature gauge in the center stack. The OMP microsuede-wrapped removable steering wheel features a yellow centering stripe.
The drivetrain includes a six-speed manual transaxle with an auxiliary transmission cooler mounted in the trunk. The clutch was replaced in 2022, and the vehicle is equipped with an aftermarket fuel cell and exhaust system, while retaining the factory fuel tank.
