Description
The Lexus LFA is, in every sense of the word, an utter marvel. A genuine halo for the brand, the LFA was a pure passion project, and Lexus lost money on every single one that left the factory. Requiring the better part of a decade for testing and development, the car was perfected on the Nurburgring, where it set a lap record for production cars and competed in the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Finishing 7th, 4th, and then First in Class, all of this racing took place before the car was launched as a production model and was only undertaken for the further development and refinement of the final road going model.
The result? A 563-horsepower V10 masterpiece that screams all the to 9000 rpm fitted into a road-going supercar that can only be described as an absolute masterpiece. For comparison, the last car prior to the LFA to produce such a level of performance, technology, and exclusivity was the Ferrari Enzo. The chassis and body are made of mostly carbon-fiber composite, and the car tips the scales at approximately 3263 pounds. From the aerodynamics, the cooling system, and the delicacy of the engine, the LFA is an engineer’s dream. With only 500 ever produced, the Lexus LFA is an incredible feat of automotive engineering that only a lucky few will ever have the chance to experience.
Now offered for sale, Blue Chip is proud to present this 2012 Lexus LFA, chassis no. 468 of 500. Just 2,325 miles from new, this example is available with the manufacturer’s literature, service documents, original window sticker, matching luggage, two keys, and a clean Colorado title.
