2019 Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series Cabriolet

The 991-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S could be considered to be the very epitome of the phrase “a wolf in sheep’s clothing”. And that’s not to say that a base 911, which is what the Turbo S closely resembles, is a sheep of a car - quite the opposite, actually. But with a 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph, the Turbo S begins to look more like a budget supercar and less like an expensive 911.

Unlike the GT range of 911s, with their fixed rear wings, side decals, and loud exhausts, the Turbo S hides this performance quite well. It behaves like any other 911 would; it’s comfortable, quiet, and easy to drive, and it comes equipped with air conditioning, trunk space, a radio, and a leather-wrapped interior with two seats in the back. And aside from a wider wheel-base, air inlets in the rear wheel arches, and quad exhaust tips, the unassuming onlooker might easily confuse it for a standard 911. But when it’s time to get down to business, the Turbo S transforms into one of the quickest production cars ever built. A hidden front spoiler deploys below the front bumper to improve aerodynamics, and a rear wing is hydraulically raised to increase downforce. A twin-turbocharged, 3.8-liter flat six engine producing 580 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque will get you to 100 mph in 6.2 seconds, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes will get you back to zero from 70 in just 144 feet. With numbers like these, the Turbo S will go toe-to-toe with just about anything short of the million-dollar Bugatti Veyron.

This example is finished in the distinctive Golden Yellow Metallic, a paint option only available on the Exclusive Series, over a Black Leather interior with contrasts and stitching in Golden. 20” Exclusive Design Wheels are finished in Black with Golden Yellow Metallic design lines and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that display 2022 date codes. Two carbon-weave stripes accentuate the hood and are continued with double vertical stripes down the retractable cabriolet roof. Additional exterior features include a Turbo Aerokit and the hydraulic rear wing, ram-air intake, side skirts, and rear apron in carbon fiber, as well as a quad-exit exhaust system in black stainless steel. A front axle lift system has also been optioned, as well as Lane Change Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Inside the cabin, 18-way Adjustable Sport seats are trimmed in Black leather and feature Golden Yellow stitching, along with Golden Yellow vertical stripes on the seat inserts and “Turbo S” embroidered on the headrest in Golden Yellow. Carbon fiber trim accentuates the cabin, and extends from the center console to the dashboard, as well as the door cards and door jambs. Added interior options consist of a Burmester High-End Surround Sound system, carbon fiber floor mats with leather edging, fuse box covers in leather, Alcantara sun visors, a fire extinguisher, and Voice Control.
