Description

Following the success of the legendary Lamborghini Countach, the Lamborghini Diablo was born to elevate the brand's legacy. Development of this extraordinary model commenced in 1985, culminating in its grand debut on January 21, 1990, in Monte Carlo. The name 'Diablo' honors a fierce 19th-century fighting bull, reflecting the car's power and spirit.

The Diablo's stunning design was penned by the renowned Marcello Gandini, the visionary behind the Lamborghini Miura and Countach. While Gandini's initial concept underwent subtle modifications by Chrysler's styling team in Detroit—after Chrysler acquired Lamborghini in April 1987—his signature touch remains evident in the final masterpiece. The interior, designed by Chrysler, features fully adjustable seats and hand-stitched Italian leather upholstery, enhancing both comfort and luxury. Improvements over its predecessor include easier entry and significantly better side visibility. Notable options for the Diablo included a remote CD changer with subwoofer, a rear wing, factory-fitted luggage, and a Breguet clock.

The Diablo's performance is nothing short of breathtaking. Initially projected to reach a top speed of 325 km/h, it surpassed expectations by hitting an astonishing 340 km/h at the Nardo race track. This feat is powered by a 5.7-liter V-12 engine with multi-point fuel injection and four valves per cylinder, producing an impressive 492 bhp. Such performance places the Diablo at the pinnacle of exotic cars, alongside illustrious names like Bugatti and Jaguar.

Now offered for sale, this 1992 Lamborghini Diablo is finished in Black over a Black leather interior and displays just 33,825 kilometers on the odometer. This particular example boasts the standard 5.7-liter V-12 engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. It comes equipped with air conditioning, rack and pinion power steering, tinted glass, a premium sound system, and the optional factory rear wing.

A recent service was performed in August of 2023 by Blue Chip Services. Work performed included mounting and balancing four new tires, an engine oil service, the replacement of the clutch hose and clutch slave cylinder, a coolant flush, water pump hose replacement, a CV axle rebuild, replacement of the battery, and the replacement of the passenger side radiator fan.

Included with the Diablo are two keys, the factory catalytic converters, and the original books and tools, ensuring its authenticity and value.
