2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS

The Porsche 911 GT2 RS has a name that hints at its nature: a turbocharged engine for brute power, distinct from the high-revving, naturally aspirated GT3. "RS" stands for Renn Sport, signifying its track-focused design. This latest 991 edition elevates the previous generation's 620 horsepower to a staggering 700, thanks to a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine with a water-spraying intake cooling system. Delivering 553 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle (PDK), it forgoes a manual option. Known as the "widowmaker" due to its immense power and challenging handling, the GT2 has evolved from the 996 and 997 generations, becoming more manageable yet retaining its formidable performance both on the road and the racetrack.

With an original MSRP of nearly $360,000, this example is highly optioned and is finished in Paint-to-Sample non-metallic Irish Green over a black leather and Alcantara interior that features deviated stitching in Luxor Beige.

Equipped with the coveted Weissach Package, this GT2 RS includes exposed carbon fiber on the hood and roof panel, and features GT2 RS lettering on the doors and engine lid in White Gold. The car rides on staggered-diameter 20" and 21" magnesium wheels finished in White Gold, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes come with yellow calipers and cross-drilled rotors, providing exceptional stopping power. Handling is enhanced with adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and rear-axle steering. The exterior lighting includes dynamic bi-xenon headlights and body-colored headlight washer covers. Clear paint-protection film has been applied to the entire car.

The interior is a blend of luxury and performance. Carbon-backed bucket seats feature “Weissach RS” embroidery, and Luxor Beige deviating-color stitching accents the dashboard, door panels, and seats. Custom elements include carbon-fiber door sill plates with “der Straßenhai” script and leather-edged floor mats in Achat Grey with Luxor Beige stitching. The cabin is equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, self-dimming mirrors, leather-edged floor mats, a fire extinguisher, aluminum pedals and footrests, and PCM infotainment with navigation. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 250-mph speedometer and a tachometer, along with gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level.

The twin-turbocharged 3.8L flat-six engine produces an impressive 700 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, paired with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transaxle and a limited-slip differential with Porsche Torque Vectoring. Additional performance features include an intercooler spray system, a titanium rear exhaust muffler, and a carbon-fiber engine cover. The car was also optioned with an extended-range fuel tank.
